What is the relation of Eid with Fastings?

Objective:
Fasting is performed in order to receive Taqwa that is Allah's consciousness in the month of Ramadhaan while Eid is performed in order to repent the shortcomings that have done in the month of Ramadhaan.

Performance Date and Time:
Fast is performed throughout the month of Ramadhaan according to the 9th month of lunar calendar while Eid is performed on the first date of Shawwal according to the 10th month of the lunar calendar.

Obligation Criteria:
Fast is obligatory for all the Muslim either men or women, rich or poor, young or adult, short or long while Eid is obligatory for all those who can take afford of the poor people to make them ready to join for this celebration.

"Quran and ramadhaan"

What is the relation of Quran with Ramadhaan?

Lauh e Mahfooz:
Quran was sent down to the Lauh e Mahfooz in one of the last ten odd days of the month of Ramadhaan at once. From where Quran was revealed to Muhammad (Sallahu Alaihi Wassalam) gradually over a period of 23 years through Jibraeel Alaihissalam.

Revision of Quran with the Angel: 
Muhammad (Sallahu Alaihi Wassalam)and Jibraeel Alaihissalam both recited Quran every year before each other as a routine in Ramadhaan.

Qiyaam Ul Lail:
Tahajjud (Night prayers) are offered by reciting Quranic selected Surah's or whole Quran e Kareem.

Reward for reciting Quran is increased:
In this month, reward for every good deed is multiplied by 70 times. During normal days reward for reciting every harf(letter) of Quran was given 10 sawaab but due to the blessings of this month we can attain 700 times of reward against a single letter.

Quran and Saum:
Quran and Saum (Fast) will witness for those who recite Quran and do Fast.

"Deeds to Avoid"

What deeds to avoid in Ramadhaan?

Eating and Drinking:
Stay away from the eatables which is must for the Saum (Fast).

Evil Desires:
Don't think of desire desires as they are not. Because thinking causes to implementing.

Bad Habits:
Leave those habits that makes the Shaitaan happy.

Talking about others:
Avoid bad talking for others because that makes the person to eat the flush of his brother as a punishment.

Time passing:
Make the time precious and serve it in good deeds like zikr, tilawat, ibadat etc.
