What is the relation of Eid with Fastings?

Objective:
Fasting is performed in order to receive Taqwa that is Allah's consciousness in the month of Ramadhaan while Eid is performed in order to repent the shortcomings that have done in the month of Ramadhaan.

Performance Date and Time:
Fast is performed throughout the month of Ramadhaan according to the 9th month of lunar calendar while Eid is performed on the first date of Shawwal according to the 10th month of the lunar calendar.

Obligation Criteria:
Fast is obligatory for all the Muslim either men or women, rich or poor, young or adult, short or long while Eid is obligatory for all those who can take afford of the poor people to make them ready to join for this celebration.
